I grew up in the arts world - singing, dancing, and acting my way through grade school and college. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Theatre and a Master of Arts degree in Theatre Education. I also went to circus school and obtained a professional diploma in aerial dance! After spending ten years teaching and performing in Colorado, my husband and I moved to Nova Scotia and love calling Halifax our home.
I have always loved interior decorating and design, finding it to be just as much an art form as music or theatre. After spending many years designing spaces for myself, friends, and family, I decided to finally enroll as a student at the Interior Design Institute. Now with a professional diploma in design, I look forward to continuing to create beautiful interiors for my clients.
My design work is often modern and minimal, creating light and bright spaces that are not only beautiful, but also comfortable and functional.. While staying true to a modern and minimal feel, I like to infuse other styles into a space, such as adding a touch of mid-century class, a dash of farmhouse comfort, or some coastal relaxation. It is all about using my designs to elevate the style desired by the client! I strive to have my work instantly make a room feel like “home” while still providing the feel of a professionally designed space.
